On the edge of the Kalahari
Desert, 40km from Mariental lies Anib Lodge, surrounded by white “vleis” (water
collecting pans) and bush savannahs which interrupt the endless red
dunes of the Kalahari. The lodge offers 7 comfortable en-suite rooms
and a warm family atmosphere, where guests can enjoy excellent cuisine
and friendly service. Activities include excellent bird and
game watching, hiking trails and excursions to sites of Namibian
history such as "Schutztruppe" or Hendrik Witbooi.

Auob Lodge, part of the Namibia Country
Lodges group, lies just 6km north-west of Gochas in the heart of
the Kalahari Desert. The lodge comprises of 21 en-suite rooms, a
TV lounge, dining room, bar, pool table, swimming pool and squash
court. Activities include horse rides and sundowner drives in the
red dunes of the Kalahari, where game such as oryx, springbok, zebra,
giraffe and blesbok can be seen. The lodge is accessible by road
or plane, as there is a landing strip.

| Intu Afrika Game Reserve comprises
of four camps and is situated 3 hours drive south-east of Windhoek,
in the Kalahari Desert. The main complex, Zebra Lodge, comprises
of 8 twin rooms each with en-suite shower/WC and a small terrace.
Zebra Lodge houses the swimming
pool, lounge, bar and dining room facilities which also cater for
guests in the other camps. |

The nearby Zebra Lodge chalets consist
of 5 en-suite chalets with a private lounge area and covered terrace.
The Camelthorn Lodge, about 600m away, accommodates guests in 10
double en-suite chalets, spread out around a central lounge area
under thatch. |

Surricate Camp caters for the budget-conscious
traveller and offers 5 double-bedded tents with private shower/WC
facilities. Activities offered on the Reserve include guided game
drives, walking trails and visits to a representation of a Bushmen
settlement where
handcrafted
curios are produced for sale.
