|
| Built amongst impressive granite boulders
near the Fish River Canyon, this lodge lies approximately 20km from
the main viewpoint and close to the main road. The lodge consists
of 30 bungalows, built with natural rock walls and thatch roofs,
and offering comfortable twin accommodation with
en-suite shower/WC. A restored farmhouse with magnificent views from
its terrace serves as the restaurant and bar, and |

a farm pool, about 600m away
in a secluded spot, offers relaxation. Activities include horse
riding,
sundowner walks and drives, and day hikes into
the canyon.

| Cañon Roadhouse |
|
The Cañon Roadhouse is located
20km from the main northern viewpoint of the Fish River Canyon.
There are 8 individually decorated en-suite rooms gathered around
an inner courtyard, creating a feeling of tranquil homeliness. 6
double and 2 large family rooms provide accommodation for a maximum
of 18 guests. |

| Facilities include the
popular "Wheels" Bar, the à-la-carte restaurant
and terrace which is open all day, an information centre and a large
swimming pool and sundeck, tucked between indigenous succulents such
as hoodias and aloes. The lodge offers various activities including,
sunrise walks, hiking, day and night drives and flights over the
Fish River Canyon. |

The Canon Village fits snugly into
the surroundings of the Gondwana Nature Park and affords easy access
to the Fish River Canyon some 20km away. Activities offered: horse
