| Ababis Guest Farm |
|
| One of Namibia’s
oldest farms, Ababis is situated about 12km south of Solitaire, has
a size of 32.000ha
and is still actively breeding cattle and ostriches. It is surrounded
by the magnificent Naukluft Mountains. Ababis is well known for its
personal service and excellent cuisine. It consists of four en-suite
rooms and one family unit. Farm drives are offered as well as various
day trips to the surrounding attractions are also offered. |

| Betesda Rest Camp |
|
| The Rest Camp is situated 40 km from
Sesriem on Road D854. Enjoy excellent farmhouse style meals, which
are prepared with great care by the hosts especially for the guest.
The Rest Camp has 16 double rooms with , two self-catering
units and one bungalow. You can enjoy an ice-cold beer while the
sun is slowly setting behind the mountains and relax at the swimming
pool; go on hiking or horse trails. The rest camp offers Sundowner
excursions along the mountains, trips to Sossusvlei and farm drives.
A landing strip is available. Camp out under a big tree with braai
facilities and hot water at the ablution block. The camp site
is within walking distance from the dining area and swimming pool. |

| Büllsport Guest Farm |
|
| Büllsport is situated 235km south-west
of Windhoek and about an hour’s drive north of Maltahöhe,
at the foot of the magnificent Naukluft Mountains. The guest farm
has 7 large, comfortably furnished rooms with en-suite facilities.
Two of the rooms cater for travellers in wheelchairs and most of
them are suitable for families with small children. The farm is an

are offered to Sossusvlei and the Naukluft walking trails. There
are various species of birds and game on the farm as well as domestic
animals such as cattle, sheep and horses. Horseback riding,

| This lodge is situated in the idyllic
setting of the magnificent red sand dunes of the Namib, with the
Nubib Mountains in the distance. The lodge offers delicious cuisine

| Hammerstein Restcamp |
|
| Situated about an hour’s drive
south-west of Maltahöhe, in scenic surroundings below the Tsaris
Pass, lies Hammerstein Rest Camp. The German name of the farm is
derived from one of the granite boulders in the vicinity, an enormous
rock ,shaped like a hammer. Guests have a choice of camping facilities,
bungalows equipped for self-catering, or lodging in one of the 24
twin-bedded
rooms with
en-suite shower/WC. |

facility situated a mere 80 km from Sesriem,

| Kulala Lodge |
|
| About 30 minutes drive south of Sesriem
lies Kulala Desert Lodge, situated with a private entrance to the
Namib Naukluft Park and its famous Sossusvlei. A maximum of 24 guests
can be accommodated in 12 thatched ‘kulalas’; each built
on a platform, equipped with twin beds, en-suite facilities and an
accessible flat rooftop area. The main building houses the
reception, lounge, dining room and wrap-around |

veranda. Kulala also has a separate tented
camp comprising of 6 walk-in canvas chalets, each en-suite and built
on wooden decks. Camp facilities
include a dining room, lounge and swimming pool.
Activities include Sossusvlei guided 4x4 trails, scenic sundowner

| Little Kulala |
|
| Situated south of the Sesriem gate
to Sossusvlei lies the private 21 000 hectare Kulala Wilderness Reserve,
the closest reserve to Sossusvlei itself. Little Kulala is in a prime
location on the western side of the reserve. It offers magnificent
dune scenery to the west and rugged Namib mountainous escarpment
to the north and east with grassy plains and “fairy circles’ filling
the space in between. |

| Little Kulala has some of the design
features of the established Kulala Desert Lodge, but is smaller and
located on the dry Auab River bed with dead acacia trees standing
as relics to their kind as the backdrop. The camp comprises of eight
thatched and canvas chalets or ‘kulalas’ (local Oshiwambo
meaning ‘to sleep’) on elevated decks. Each unit has
its own private bathroom and wrap-around verandah with a small plunge
pool. An internal staircase leading to the flat rooftop above the
bathroom provides the ideal setting to spend the evening stargazing
in your own private confines. The main area has a relaxed lounge,
dining room, bar, curio shop and swimming pool all under thatch.
Activities are varied and numerous and include early morning guided
game drives to the dunes, nature drives and walks on our private
reserve, day trips into the Namib-Naukluft mountains and early morning
ballooning. |

| Namib Naukluft Lodge |
|
| This upmarket lodge, backed by massive
granite hills, is a comfortable base from which to explore Sesriem
and the famous Sossusvlei, only two hours drive away. The 14 spacious
double rooms each have en-suite bathrooms and a private patio that
opens onto the Namib Desert. The main building houses a restaurant,
bar and lounge with a terrace, and a few metres away
in a secluded spot, is the swimming pool. |

drives, hiking trails, Sossusvlei excursions and 'sundowner' drives
to the natural marble mountains nearby. |

| Rostock Ritz Lodge |
|
The Rostock Ritz, nestling in the foothills
of the Rostock Mountain Range, is situated 120km from Sesriem and
is a well-known stopover to and from Sossusvlei. The lodge consists
of 22 luxury double semi-subterrainean rock igloos with en-suite
shower/WC and a view terrace.
The lodge also offers a first-class à-la-carte restaurant,
a fully stocked bar and a beautiful swimming pool. |

(On request), nature drives, hikes to the natural springs in the
Gaub
and Ubib canyons, visits to the Bushman rock art in the Oase cave
